General settings

The General Settings view, which you can open via the context menu option of the case in the Case Explorer (Show View > General Settings), allows you to define the basic mesh, environment, and settings for the Abaqus case.

General  The General Settings view contains the basic information for the case: the associated 3D mesh and the values for the offset between the nodal coordinates from the Abaqus input file and the model coordinates in the solution. These values are automatically calculated by JewelSuite, and it is recommended not to modify them.

Environment  The Environment view provides an empty scripting panel which allows you to control the execution aspects of the Abaqus case, such as CPU related settings. You can specify this information here. These settings are read by the Abaqus software and written into the Abaqus Environment file.
